Tongue Lash

Who are you to enter my life
Twisting my reality upside down with your own false ideals
Your loyalty misguided, or failing, or false
Cutting a jagged scar in life that never heals

And yet you think I don't see
The game in your mind you think is real
The hearts that you're breaking
No remorse do you feel

And who am I to defend you?
Shrouding your name in innocence undeserved
Placing my own on the line as chief witness
As you continue undeterred

And yet you think I don't see
The callous little thought thats set like steel
Viewing hearts that you're breaking
No remorse should you feel?

And who are they to persecute you
Tarring your name with a brush stroked in pain
Disgust at your actions
Taken again and again

And yet you think I don't see
The crying little girl you conceal
Your own heart breaking
Too late to appeal

Who are you? Who am I? Who are they?
Who cares? Is that what you say?
