My eyes don't want to look
They don't want to see the world around me
With its tasks and needs and wants
The things that I should aspire to
and oh so many things I should walk from
I'm too tired now

Give me my bed, a pillow and a sheet
Somewhere to lay, to sleep and hide
And leave me, world, for now
Let me rest, just a while
Let me breath my own air
Dream my own dreams
Find my strength again

And with luck I'll return
My heart renewed with energy
My eyes alert and quick
If i rest, let me rest
should I sleep, let me sleep
Let me dream
For I'm tired now
Too tired
