Staring at you
There is nothing.
Why should I feel nothing for the sake of you?
Why should my emptiness be my bane for your own amusement
Pleasure, want, worth... nay... for your comfort.
Why should I touch nothing as I lay unveiled in the evening
Eyes wide and yet closed to all possibilities
Your own eyes empty of anything but comfort
Your hands, as they reach, seeking not me
But somewhere to lay
Whilst I feel
Why should my dreams collapse like old stone walls
Crumbling day by day under the onslaught of things forgotten
Things so tiny so as not to be noticed
Rain, wind, ice, insect, nothing
Why this? When I could reach forth
Head high, eyes wide, arms stretched for..
